For the first time, a select group of Elaine Gignilliat’s original paintings is being offered as museum-quality prints.

Created for some of the most memorable historical romance novels of the 1970’s and 1980s, these images reveal the artistry behind the printed covers: Elaine’s command of realism, her meticulous attention to costume and historical detail, and her extraordinary ability to capture an entire story in a single suspended moment.

Each print is produced from a high-resolution digital image of the original oil painting and carefully reviewed for color, detail and fidelity to the artwork.

Every print is:

• Produced with archival pigment inks on heavyweight, museum-quality fine-art paper

• Marked by the Elaine Gignilliat Collection

• Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity

• Recorded in the Collection’s permanent edition register.

Size and Presentation

Prints are approximately 18 × 24 inches, with the precise dimensions determined by the proportions of the original painting. Each image is surrounded by a generous paper border suitable for matting and framing.

Prints are sold unframed so that collectors may select framing appropriate to their homes and personal style. Framing guidance is available upon request.

Prints are produced in small quantities and may be printed to order. Please allow time for careful production, inspection, and packaging.

Authentication

Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity identifying:

• The title of the painting

• The original book and author

• The print medium and paper

• The dimensions

• The date of production

The certificate is also entered into the Elaine Gignilliat Collection’s permanent records.
